To actively promote gender equality and the leadership roles of FAWL's members in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large. To achieve these goals, FAWL will uphold the highest standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession, promote reform in law, and facilitate administration of justice.
Message From Our Chapter President
What is your promise? What is your vision? At the swearing in ceremony on Friday, Scott Hawkins, newly inducted president of the Florida Bar, asked these questions. As lawyers, we all took an oath to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and Florida, to respect the courts, to advocate for our clients, to be professional and ethical. But Scott's questions go one step further. Those of us who choose to get involved, like all of our members, have an opportunity to really do something positive. Those of us who do just a little bit more, no matter how seemingly insignificant, are leaders. As leaders, our actions are seen by others who form a life-long view of the law and of lawyers. We can make a difference. What is your passion? Can you help a younger lawyer? Can you be a mentor? Can you be a leader? Find your interest, your passion. Become a FAWL member, and get involved.
